About Us - The story so far...

Since 1999, City Docs has led the industry for document services to the legal sector. Our service levels and quality are unmatched. It's no suprise we are retained suppliers to 17 of the top 20 that trust us to deliver on time, and to specification.

Twelve great years on, our client base has grown. Organisations in Finance, Government, Media, Architecture, Engineering, Construction, Transport & Technology choose City Docs their document services partner.

Yes, we continue to lead the way in document services. But now we are innovating again: a new and innovative approach based on a flexible approach to services, systems and solutions is creating waves.  So, how did we get here?

Chapter 1 - Service, service, and service

1999 saw the launch of City Docs, as a specialist provider of document production services to the capital’s law firms. Clients quickly experienced the benefits of dedicated service partner able to deliver even the most complex jobs, unique their specifications, and on time. Sensitive to the needs of our clients, we broke the mould when City Docs moved to a 24/7 service model. To date, we remain the only true 24/7, high availability document service provider in London. It’s no surprise; our client base grew in recognition of our commitment to them, the service levels and quality of our work. We are rightly proud that we became (and remain) the prime document solutions partner to  (17 out of 20) the majority of the leading UK and international law firms in London.

Chapter 2 - Innovation

We continued to innovate: new technologies, new solutions and services. Our ability to service increasingly complex and demanding professional markets grew. But we knew technology without good service is no solution. Our commitment to our people and the processes they operate, has and still does underpin our commitment to excellence. When a prospective client asked City Docs to support a project in Norway, our team rose to the challenge. Six months and four million documents later we shook hands as we completed our first international project, on time, on budget, to the delight of our client. Our expertise in forensic document services grew resulting in the create of the Trilantic brand within City Docs.

The next chapters?

Out status as the leading service partner in legal is no secret. Our values and track growing reputation saw clients from other sectors approach us. True to our principals, our management team and production staff responded with the same enthusiasm and levels of service. Our clients now include leading architectural practices, construction & engineering, defence, high-tech and government. We saw more opportunities to address our clients’ needs and responded. In 2011, we opened the doors to our first disaster recovery (DR) centre.

Unique in its field, it is the first of many resource centres able to provide a broad range of contingency scan, print and related capabilities for large corporate. Our capability to deliver projects off-site took us further afield. Our project management and resourcing capabilities with staff now see City Docs staff regularly operating in across Europe, North America, the Middle East and elsewhere.

We’re proud to say City Docs emerged from the credit crunch in one piece, and more agile. Just as we have evolved, so too have our clients. We’re meeting their demands for better, faster and more cost-effective services through innovation, excellence and service. Join us for the next chapter!
