London fire takes destroys office block and takes 12 buildings out of service.

Located less than 100 metres from a fire which destroyed an entire six storey building, City Docs experienced a total service outage as London Fire Brigage and the local electrical board shut down power to the area. Darren Cannel, Operations Director of City Docs recalls "Production was running at near full capacity, much of it for one client project. Within 20 minutes of being on scene, the fire brigade shut down the ring mains that serves several blocks around bringing work to an abrupt halt.  This was the acid test for our DR suite. Amazingly, despite everything going on in the streets outside, we decanted the work-in-progress and shuttled it to DR site. One of the staff had gone ahead to open up and power up the kit.  In less than 30' production restarted. And, we completed to work on time, to spec.
